Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman was a U.S. Olympic team captain, who has won gold medals in 2012. Aly Raisman has six Olympic medals and two World Championships gold medals. The native of Needham, Massachusetts, Aly's enthusiasm for sport can be traced to an early "mommy and me" gymnastics lesson she took as an eighteen-month-old. Aly Raisman is an advocate for body positivity and is an inspiration both on the floor and off, and she spoke about Larry Nassar during his sentencing hearing. Aly Raisman, born in 1994 began gymnastics as a young child and contributed to helping to lead the U.S. team to win the 2011 World Championships. In the following year, she won two gold medals - one for the team event and another in the single floor exercises--alongside a bronze in the beam competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. In the year 2016 Raisman returned to compete in the Olympics in Rio she won silver medals at the individual all-around final as well as floor exercise and gold in the women's team gymnastics competition. Raisman made a shocking revelation in the year 2017. She was physically abused by an ex-team physician Larry Nassar. In the subsequent year, Raisman sued USA Gymnastics.
