Charlotte Church, a Welsh singer who was just 12 when she recorded her debut record "Voice of an Angel" was a star in the making. Charlotte Church is a talented musician, but she has also acted and hosted a TV show. At a very young age she was able to show an unnatural talent in singing and started performing with others in public at the age of 3 1/2. At the age of three, she started out as a classical singer of hymns and sang 'Pie Jesu' over the telephone for a television program when she was eleven. It was then followed by her participation in "The Big Big Talent Show" that brought her to the notice of the public. The opportunity came to appear in shows at Cardiff Arms Park and the Royal Albert Hall. Jonathan Shalit was one of the top UK entertainment executives who recognised Charlotte's talents. Jonathan assisted Charlotte obtain a Sony Music contract and then was her manager. She became the youngest singer to record a number-one album, with her first debut"Voice of an Angel..' It was released in 1999. the British popular charts for crossovers placed the album at No. number one in 1999. In the course of time, her fame rose and she was requested to perform before celebrities such as Pope John Paul II, Prince Charles as well as former US president Clinton.
